The P50VT25 by Panasonic is a legendary piece of kit. As one of Panasonic’s first 3D plasma Tvs released early 2010 the VT25 series had a lot to prove … but boy does it deliver. It’s a stylish and impressive 50 inch TV that looks fantastic and out performs the competition.

3D performance

Firstly, lets us see how the TV handles 3D content. The P50VT25 uses active 3D technology which basically means you are going to have to wear active 3D glasses (one pair is bundled with the TV). Without getting overly technical the VT25 utilises a number of innovations such as shorter decay red and green phosphors, high speed drive technology resulting in 120fps and reduced ghosting all of which results in a superior and faultless 3D experience. We dare anyone who’s given this a try not to be wowed by the quality of 3D content on the P50VT25.

Picture quality

The TC-P50VT25 works via a Neo Plasma Display Panel (Neo PDP). This is a clever piece of kit by Panasonic that allows the TV to display 1080p content. In addition the P50VT25 has an incredibly fast refresh rate meaning that you can watch fast paced sports and movies without blur.

Once you’ve got your new Panasonic TV you will notice the incredible contrast with the colours … black really does look black. This is thanks to Panasonic’s ‘Infinite Black Pro’ display resulting in a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1! In addition as the P50VT25 is a plasma TV you won’t notice any issues with display brightness which its LED counterparts suffer from.

Connectivity

The P50VT25 does not disappoint when it comes to connectivity. Users receive a couple of Scart inputs, component, Ethernet port and four HDMIs. The 3D TV is also equipped with wireless and ethernet connectivity which means you can utilise the likes of Youtube and Amazon.

Finally it’s worth mentioning that the Panasonic TC-P50VT25 is a THX certified 3D TV. This means that the VT25 series have all been rigorously tested to THX standards for picture quality, brightness, colours etc.

Overall Panasonic have done a fantastic job with the P50VT25 3D TV integrating the latest gadgets and technology to ensure a first class viewing experience.
