The explosion of 3D technology, gadgets and gizmos has meant that consumers are becoming a lot more engrossed within the world of 3D than ever before. A century ago they had stereoscopes (ie a black and white postcard) but now we are able to watch intergalactic battles on our 3DTV from the comfort of our lounge, take amazing 3D photos of our travels and watch sports cars race past us with 3D gaming.

Of course 3Dtechnology is still not that accessible to mass consumer market and most gadgets require a rather fat wallet however over the next year or so technology is bound to get cheaper so more of us can enjoy the world of 3D. 2010 will always be seen as the year 3D went global and bought the third dimension to our homes.
