Sony Bravia LX900

If you are after a stylish 3D ready TV that features the most modern technology and amazing visuals then you can’t go wrong with the LX900 by Sony.

Sony are offeting four different sized TV screens in their XBR-LX900 range including a 60 inch (XBR-60LX900), 52 inch (XBR-52LX900), 46 inch (XBR-46LX900) and 40-inch (XBR-40LX900). The LX900 uses active 3D technology that requires specific Sony 3D glasses however the 3D effects are simply staggering.

All 3D sets will offer viewers full HD 1080p and Edge LED Backlight technology. To ensure a fantastically smooth picture Sony have introduced Motionflow which is basically 240Hz motion compensation technology; although this is useful for avoiding blur when watching sports it is also beneficial when watching 3D content.

Other interesting features of the LX900 include OptiContrast panel which helps minimise reflection and refraction of external and internal lights resulting in a deeper, vibrant image even in the brightest of rooms.

As can be expected from electrical giants Sony the LX900 has integrated Wi-Fi which enables users to access 1000′s of films, music and much more (including Amazon Video on Demand and YouTube). You will also be able to playback your own content such as digital images and video via the USB network connections. The LX900 also offers Sony’s BRAVIA Sync for easy operation with other BRAVIA Sync devices such as AV receivers and Blu-ray Disc players.

One feature the team at Totally3D really like is Sony’s new ‘Intelligent Presence Sensor’. This feature cleverly detects when you have left the room or are no longer watching the TV and automatically dims the backlight, therefore saving energy.

We really like the LX900 and think Sony have positioned this 3D TV perfectly. Remember you’ll also need to purchase extra pairs of 3D glasses if you want to share the 3D fun.
