The Samsung BD-C8000 is Samsung’s new sleek and stylish Blu-ray player and the first portable 3D-capable Blu-ray player on the market.
The BD-C8000 comes in a smart black frame and includes a 10.1-inch screen and as can be expected offers great visuals for a superb picture. The blu-ray player includes 1080p HD video, a wireless built-in local area network and 1GB of memory.
While the new player’s screen is 2D only, it enables 3D playback when connected to a 3D-capable TV (and, obviously, used with 3D glasses).

In the battle to release 3D technology before competitors Sony have released two new 3D Blu-ray players; the BDP-S470 and the BDP-S570.

The BDP-S470 is one mean piece of kit. Not only does the player play 3D movies but it also works with the iPhone which will act as a remote control. There will be wi-fi capabilities and multimedia playback via a USB port.
